R&D Electro-Mechanical Processes, Tools & Methods Development Developing and documenting technical processes for electro-mechanical design teams within product development programs. Contributing to global departmental software application development. Gathering information, originating content, coordinating, editing and reviewing contributors’ material for global departmental process manuals. Contributing to Process Improvement exercises, and developing tools & methods to solve process problems. Conducting Quality Assessments & Audits to ISO 9001 within product creation programs. Building appropriate quality assessment criteria for electro-mechanical design teams. Preparing audit & assessment results & metrics. Investigating & analysing Data Management tool usage across R&D teams, and preparing implementation planning material. Collaborating with PDM & Design Data Management users & implementation teams. Defining interface processes & methodologies between design tools and PDM/DDM applications. Planning, implementing and maintaining global departmental Intranets. Co-ordinating, gathering and editing contributors’ content. Developing technical solutions for information delivery issues within Intranets. Liasing with other departmental intranet developers, and contributing to development policy. Planning and monitoring personal tasks throughout all project phases. Defining and prioritising all technical details within restricted timescales. Writing a wide range of technical documents in compliance with ISO9001 documentation procedures Assisting R&D staff with CAD data exchange between different computer systems and software environments, including Mentor Boardstation and SDRC I-DEAS. Providing Expert User support for intranet authoring tools, document management systems, CAD & PC applications.
